ETCOG's PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT
In collaboration with state and local authorities, ETCOG has been designated as the leading organization responsible for the development and coordination of Emergency 911 Communications in East Texas. Our partnership with the State ensures the implementation of state-of-the-art 911 services for wireless callers and proactive planning for Next Generation 911. Additionally, we work closely with the Texas Office of the Governor to coordinate Criminal Justice and Homeland Security Planning, supporting first responders and facilitating regional disaster preparedness. ETCOG plays a pivotal role in training law enforcement personnel through our support of the East Texas Police Academy and oversees the Regional Juvenile Services Program.
